Telephone CommunicationsThe BVI through its three communications carriers boasts an array of services that visitors and residents will find indispensable. Cable & Wireless, CCT Global Communications and more recently Digicel, provide competitive roaming rates as well as convenient prepaid connections. Wireless broadband is also available through Cable & Wireless and CCT Global. To call the BVI the local seven digit telephone number is prefixed by area code (284), while for the USVI and Puerto Rico the area codes are (340) and (787) respectively.
